The ubiquitous but no less special “Anna’s Hummingbird.”

One of the first birds I noticed, before I became an actual bird guy. Still love the little buzzers.

This humble little brown bird holds a special place in my heart.

The Pacific Wren’s song is the anthem of PNW’s forests. It’s unmistakable trilly, buzzy and almost electrical song sounds much larger than the minuscule producer.

The Lesser Goldfinch is another regular in the neighborhood.

I really enjoyed getting this guy playing in the dew.

Storm birb

The bird I see most frequently - a Dark Eyed Juncho - looking especially brooding and emo on our telephone wire during a T-Storm.

Bad neighbors

I love this so much. The squirrel and Northern Flicker giving each other some serious stink eye. The N. Flicker has returned annually to the telephone pole hole to raise it’s young. The squirrel is a new resident this year and I don’t think his neighbor is stoked at all the new ruckus.

Tuckered pooch

Dog sitting Gilly, my folks’ dog. She’s a cat dog but I love her. Especially her long ear hair.

A fellow birder pointed out this little hummer’s nest to me. Seems like a studio apartment.

I think this is a Lesser (vs American) Goldfinch. Another lil nest just next to the hummer’s. It’s a regular studio appt complex.

Another Dark Eyed Juncho. Although it’s hyper common I still find ‘em pretty handsome. This one has some nice greenery to further compliment its looks.
