Castle's rise
Sunrise behind Citadel Mountain from Gunsight Lake in Glacier NP.
Thawed heart
Sunrise from Hart lake in Olympic NP. We trudged up through no trail snow drifts finding this epic lake with 360 degree views but also covered in snow. It took a few hours but we found a single snowless (and flat) spot for our tents to spend the evening in paradise.
V up V down
Gunsight lake after sunrise. (GNP)
Shy guy
On our final morning in Olympic NP, a bunny, smelling our stench, wisely stays hidden.
Chalet vibes
At Sperry Chalet campground the goats and marmots insatiably hunted our salt. The goats stalk you waiting for a pee. The marmots steal your poles and munch the foam grips while your back is turned. This lil guy had dragged a pole into his den for bedside munching.
Ombre codes
Lake Ellen Wilson and it's enviable rocks.
Duck boys
The state of the trail on our Olympic NP trip. About 1/3rd of the snow had melted three days later on our return trip.
Drake mood
A first COVID outing. Rafting the Deschutes.
like Mother like
cmon... these lil cuties. From GNP trail.
Bear
I have an unhealthy lack of fear of bears. I'm pretty much always excited to see one. The camera must give me a sense of delusion. This guy was the perfect distance though, and more spooked of us than vice verse.
Sheriff
Pee hunters - at Sperry Chalet in GNP.
Palette
The color of the rocks was almost as enchanting as the lake. Both were sublime. Lake Ellen WIlson (GNP)
Family values
The cutest and most destructive mom and kid you'll ever see. They munched shirts, tents and most adorably, flowers. At Lake Ellen Wilson (GNP)
Interlopers
I love the movement in this pic, especially the three little duckies gliding in the background.
It mirror
Our coastal trip in Olympic National Park from 2020. This was our favorite campground and the set delivered.
Layer cake
I love a good reverse fade to black. Sunset from Hart lake in Olympic NP.
Echos
This isn't the greatest photo but it is of my favorite place on the planet, Echo Lake, which almost burned this year. This is from 2020.
Side eye
Ducks... All ya gotta say. From Olympic NP.
Easter eggm
Sunrise at Hart lake in Olympic NP.
